Description
JobM helps teams monitor automated job executions and respond to anomalies. Following an initial version built with Lua, OpenResty and Tarantool, CPG Consulting undertook a complete rebuild. V2 brings events, statistics, monitoring rules and related actions together in a clearer interface. A dedicated API and redesigned access flows provide stronger control over accounts and sessions.
My contributions
I helped move JobM from its legacy version to V2, working across the application:
- Next.js interface: dashboard, searchable and filterable event console, and management screens for conditions, rules, actions and users.
- Versioned Fastify API and a data layer supporting Tarantool and several databases through TypeORM.
- Rules engine: detection of failures, missing executions and thresholds over time, with the ability to send incident emails.
- Sign-in and account recovery flows: hashed passwords, renewable tokens and code verification.
- Dedicated transactional email and SMS services.
- Docker configuration for the services to support deployment.
The rebuild makes day-to-day monitoring clearer and provides a more structured foundation for JobM's next steps.
